Mary Cassatt's 1901 pastel Simone in a White Bonnet will be on view during our visit to the Worcester Art Museum as part of a small, focused installation, as will a comprehensive retrospective of the work of artist Ed Emberley, among the most prolific and respected illustrators of children's literature of the last 60 years. The exhibition draws on the Massachusetts-based artist's personal archive of original hand-drawn sketches, woodblock prints, final proofs, and first edition books. Lunch afterwards (pay individually) at the Museum. Van departs Café Tatte, 70 Charles Street, at 9:15 a.m., and Starbucks, 165 Newbury Street, at 9:20 a.m. BHV members: $45. Guests of BHV members and prospective members: $55. Trip price includes transportation, Museum admission and private tour.
