Living Well After Lockdown - Thinking About the Threat from COVID-19 Variants (3:00)
Tuesday, June 8, 2021, 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM
This event will be held on Zoom. A link will be sent to all registrants in advance.
A central issue that may deflect any post-pandemic reopening is a new COVID-19 variant that jumps the envelope of the existing array of vaccines. What is such a variant? How many variants are there, and which ones seem to matter most? What do they mean for us in our daily lives, especially as more and more people forego masks? What do we know about how the current vaccines stack up against the variants? How firm is this knowledge? What critical information is still lacking? How might boosters for current vaccines, or second-generation vaccines, help with variants? BHV's own expert Kim Bottomly, an immunologist, will be the main discussant. All the readings suggested (which are emailed in advance to all registrants) have been chosen with Kim’s approval.
Please join what should be a very timely discussion!
Please register if not on LWAL's existing pre-registration list.
If you would like to join LWAL on a regular basis please email email@example.com to be added to the new Zoom distribution list. Members added to this list will receive all Zoom invitations, before each session held every other Tuesday, and may then choose which sessions they would like to attend.
This event is for BHV members only. Free. This event is presented as part of BHV’s Living Well Ending Well series.
