What is this?
The Dorothy & David Ramler Park is one of the jewels of the Fenway neighborhood. Located on Peterborough Street, this half-acre City of Boston park is open to the public during daylight hours. The site used to be a parking lot until neighborhood activists, led by FCA board member Fredericka Veikley, galvanized the public and private sectors to turn the Ramler Family’s gift of land into a public park. Now it serves as a gorgeous respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, complete with fountain, benches, arbors, and an amazing variety of plants and flowers. For more information about the park’s history, horticulture, and events, visit

Getting there & OTHER LOGISTICS
Take the Green Line to the Kenmore T Stop. Meet BHV members Joan Doucette and John Mathurin inside the station but just outside of the turnstiles promptly at 11 AM. Please email
John
if you have questions about bus routes or transportation options. We’ll stop at Star Market for lunch items (or brown bag it) as it’s located half a block from the park. Bathrooms are nearby and there are ample seating options at the park. Post park visit, there are shopping outlets of many varieties in this dynamic neighborhood as well as other parkland spaces nearby as this is located along the Emerald Necklace. BHV members, their guests, and prospective members. Free. Registration is required.
