By registering and/or participating in any BHV in-person event, program, trip, or service (held in or out of doors) you are affirming that you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and that you are not exhibiting, at the time of the event or service, any symptoms of Covid-19. BHV will always adhere to the current Commonwealth and City of Boston guidelines and/or to the policies of whatever venue we may use. In all cases, Members & guests should follow their own comfort level in  participating in any BHV event or service.

Concert (7:30 p.m.)

Join BHV member Lee Fernandez, and other fellow members for NEC Philharmonie + Hugh Wolff: Walker, Shostakovich, Holst at Jordan Hall on Wednesday, February 1 at 7:30 PM.

NEC Philharmonia performs George Walker's Icarus in Orbit, the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 2 with Jonathan Swensen '23 AD as cello soloist, and Gustav Holst's orchestral suite, The Planets.  Sopranos and altos of the NEC Symphonic Choir join the orchestra in the last movement.  Hugh Wolff conducts. 

Take the Green “E” Line to the Symphony T Stop or the Orange Line to Massachusetts Avenue T stop. Option to join members for Light refreshments at 6:15 at the NEC's Green Room Cafe, 255 St Botolph St Boston, MA 02115 (and home to the new multi-million, 12-story glass-fronted dorm building.)

Upon arriving at 255 St. Botolph, Lee will greet you near the security station at the door. Look for balloons on the tables reserved for BHV; there will be a treat for each of you courtesy of your host.

Concert only, meet inside Jordan Hall, 30 Gainsborough Street at 7:15.

Tickets are required and arranged for by the BHV office. Lee will disperse tickets to registrants in the lobby. Member sit together in rows P and O in front of the platform seats that are closer to the aisle.

Registration required. Light refreshments are paid individually.
