Walks! leader M.J. Shultz will be accompanied by Marygrace Barber, an experienced birdwatcher and former docent of the Arboretum to show us the fundamentals of birdwatching, as well as describe the plants in season. You are strongly encouraged to bring binoculars if you have them. Belle Isle Reservation, between East Boston and Revere, is the last remaining salt marsh on Boston Harbor. Generous parking is available at the reservation and by the T station at Napoles, our lunch restaurant offering eclectic global cuisine, all of it good. Meet at 10:30 a.m. at Suffolk Downs station on the Blue Line in the Wonderland direction, third stop past Airport. We will gather by the bench on the platform before you exit through the turnstiles and will go outside as a group. There we’ll wait 10 minutes. If you’ll be late or absent, please call either the leader or the office. About BHV Walks! Strolls move at an easy pace for about one hour, including rest stops.
