Beauty in Bridges
Conversations with Miguel Rosales on September 26 will take place on Zoom only at 6PM.
Miguel designs bridges — some of the most beautiful bridges you’ve ever seen. His bridges are not just the means to cross a river, a lake or a ravine. They are also works of art.
Miguel assisted with the design of the Zakim Bridge more than twenty-five years ago. He restored the Longfellow Bridge and designed the Fanny Appleton Bridge that enables pedestrians to cross over Storrow Drive to the Esplanade. He has designed bridges in Texas, North Carolina, Washington state — in fact, his bridges have been built all over the country. His latest Boston project is now under construction on the harbor side of the Charles River Dam on North Washington Street, connecting the North End and Downtown North to the Charlestown side of the river.
This program is presented as part of Beacon Hill Village’s “Conversations with...” series with support from Cambridge Trust.
Program begins at 6 p.m. BHV members, their guests, and prospective members. Free.
