Dear Beacon Hill Village Members,
The goal of social distancing is to slow the spread of COVID-19 in order to prevent overwhelming our health care system, thus saving lives. The importance of “flattening the curve” through social distancing is what prompted the Beacon Hill Village Board to suspend all in-person programming and pivot to expanding our “virtual” presence through a variety of online tools.
Please read this explainer FLATTENING THE CURVE, SOCIAL DISTANCING AND BEACON HILL VILLAGE on why “flattening the curve” through social distancing is the most powerful tool we have right now to protect ourselves, others and our health care system. The main document contains an Appendix with a list of “dos and don’ts” for social distancing. Check it out. It is also available as a stand alone document.SOME COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING FUNDAMENTALS - March 22, 2020
